Sam Stanley
Director, Wealth Management Adviser
Sam Stanley works closely with colleagues Chris West, Ralph Goodwin, Vanessa Otang and their Wealth Associate, Lynda Wallis, to provide discretionary investment management services (DIMS) to a range of clients.
With more than 20 years’ experience in financial markets in New Zealand and the UK, Sam joined Jarden in 2015. Prior to this, he was Head of Business Strategy & Sales, then Head of Exchange Products, at NZX. Sam lived in London for a decade, where he co-founded foreign exchange brokerage Halo Financial Ltd and provided weekly market commentary on CNBC Worldwide Exchange for seven years.
Sam enjoys developing business growth strategies and working closely with his clients to help them achieve their goals. His strengths include portfolio investment management, technical analysis (charting), foreign exchange and funds management, including Exchange Traded Funds.
An NZX Associate Adviser, Sam has a BCom from the University of Otago, a Diploma in Technical Analysis from the Society of Technical Analysts and holds a Certified Financial Technician qualification from the International Federation of Technical Analysts. A keen athlete, Sam says much of his current sporting activity is directed to watching his kids’ sports.
