Sam Ricketts
Managing Director, Co-Head of Jarden NZ, Co-Head Investment Banking NZ
Sam Ricketts was appointed Jarden’s Head of Investment Banking in August 2014.
Sam has extensive experience advising clients across a broad range of strategic advisory, cross-border and domestic mergers and acquisitions, and equity capital market transactions. He has particular expertise across the agriculture, infrastructure, aged-care and private equity sectors.
Sam has 20 years’ investment banking experience and has advised on a range of significant and high profile transactions for clients including Auckland International Airport, Air New Zealand, Fonterra, The Todd Corporation, Sky City Entertainment Group, Synlait Milk, Summerset Group, Scales Corporation, PGG Wrightson and a range of leading domestic and global private equity and sovereign wealth entities.
Prior to joining Jarden’s investment banking team in 2006, Sam spent eight years in Australia with leading independent investment bank, Caliburn (now Greenhill & Co).
Sam is a member of the Jarden senior leadership team, sits on the board of Jarden board and Pearlfisher Capital (Jarden’s non-bank property lending business). Sam holds a BCom (Finance) and a PGDip Finance from the University of Otago.
