Arie Dekker
Head of Research
Arie Dekker leads Jarden’s research division, providing clients with insights into New Zealand listed companies. His team regularly engages with industry contacts, companies, regulatory bodies and a range of other sources to find interesting angles that will help shape clients’ investment decisions.
Arie’s areas of expertise include telecommunications and media, dairy, the retirement village sector, and building products. He enjoys building expertise across different sectors, considering the opportunities that may shape a company’s future, and from time-to-time, offering fresh insights that challenge prevailing views.
He previously worked for the Todd Corporation, including a role as Chief Financial Officer for Winegrowers of ARA. Arie regularly presents to company and industry forums, and mentors and judges students in finance competitions.
Arie was born in the Netherlands but grew up in Levin and holds an MBS (First Class Honours) from Massey University. Outside of the nine-to-five, Arie plays squash and tennis and enjoys running and hiking.
