Investment Banking Internship

Curious about careers in investment banking? Keen for practical work experience alongside some of the best in the field?

With Jarden’s 10-week summer internship programme, you’ll be integrally involved in our investment banking projects, with exposure to high calibre transactions involving both New Zealand and international clients.

You’ll work across a range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and debt capital markets, as well as other strategic and corporate finance assignments. You’ll be responsible for tasks including financial modelling and analysis, company research, presentations and reports, and a variety of other tasks. 

In return, you’ll gain unparalleled insights on investment banking and will be part of a smart, fun and motivated team. 

We’re seeking two talented people to join our 10-week summer internship programme for 2020-2021. All positions are full-time and based in Jarden’s Auckland office. Applications open 26 February, 2020.

Criteria:

  • A NZ work visa is required for non NZ citizens

Investment Bank Graduate Programme

Fascinated by the financial markets? With Jarden’s investment banking graduate programme you’ll lay the foundations for an exciting and rewarding career.

As part of New Zealand’s leading (and largest) investment banking team, you’ll contribute to a range of high quality corporate advisory projects and transactions, for both local and international clients. You’ll develop knowledge and expertise across mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets and debt capital markets.

We believe in supporting your leadership potential right from the start. You’ll be encouraged to share your ideas and given significant responsibility at an early stage of your career.

Alongside an excellent in-house training programme, you’ll participate in global training in both Sydney and New York through our strategic alliance partner, Credit Suisse.

We’re seeking two talented graduates to join our Auckland-based investment banking team in early 2021. Applications open 26 February, 2020.

Capital Markets Graduate Programme

Gain broad expertise across financial services and develop exceptional leadership skills, with Jarden’s Rotational Graduate Programme.

Over two years, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career across wealth management, direct wealth, trading, research, risk and compliance, and finance and operations. You’ll receive formal training as well as on-the-job mentoring and support from a senior business leader. 

Working across different divisions, you’ll gain a unique perspective on how our business fits together, build relationships across the firm and gain vital knowledge and expertise for future leadership opportunities.

We’re seeking three talented people to join our Capital Markets Graduate Programme in early 2021, with positions available in both Auckland or Wellington. Applications open 26 February, 2020.

Criteria:

  • We are looking for talented people with strong academic performance who already have some practical work experience
  • You will have completed or are near completing a tertiary qualification in finance, economics, business, engineering, computer science, mathematics or a comparable business discipline
  • Interest in capital markets, financial and industry trends, combined with a passion for advisory services
  • NZ work visa is required for non NZ citizens
