Director, Head of Institutional Compliance
The compliance team supports divisions across Jarden, by working to ensure that business goals and new projects comply with trading rules and regulatory obligations. Specifically, Marama represents Jarden on NZX matters such as regulatory consultations.
Like many Kiwis, Marama discovered the world of finance while on her OE in London, working at JP Morgan Chase. Returning home in 2004, she took up a compliance role at NZX in Wellington, where she gained in-depth experience of the New Zealand regulatory environment and the workings of the market.
Marama joined Jarden’s compliance team in 2007, taking a desk on the dealing floor where she learned the complexities of compliance in an ever-changing business environment.
Marama has expertise and interest in NZX rules and regulations; and institutional, research and investment banking compliance processes. She has a BCom (Marketing) and a BA (English) from the University of Otago.
