Jonathan Klouwens partners with CEOs, CFOs and boards to assist them in optimising and securing the capital and resources companies need to scale faster and fulfil their growth potential.
He advises on the acquisition and divestment of businesses, equity capital raisings, takeover bids and a range of corporate finance matters. He has specialist knowledge of the brewing, logistics, wholesaling, retailing, travel, payments, fintech, media and technology industries. Recent clients have included Ingenico on the Paymark acquisition, and Nyriad with regard to its capital raise.
Prior to joining Jarden, Jonathan was Chief Financial Officer at TradeMe, taking up the role at the time the company floated on the NZX and ASX. He was previously CFO at House of Travel, and worked for Lion Nathan in New Zealand, Australia and China for 17 years, with roles including NZ Finance Director and NZ Strategy Director.
Jonathan has a BCom in Finance (First Class Honours) and a PGDip (Economics) from the University of Auckland, and is a member of NZICA. When he’s not trailing around after his kids at sporting events, he loves travel, skiing and kite surfing.
