The Role
The key purpose of this role is to manage and support our network of Wealth advisers. There are two roles available. The Area Manager - North will be based in Auckland and the Area Manager - South in Wellington. The Wealth division provides financial advice and bespoke portfolio solutions to clients. Area Managers will work closely with closely with other members of the Wealth team and other key stakeholders such as Marketing, Compliance, People & Culture and Research to support our Wealth advisers deliver exceptional service and advice outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Work collaboratively with our senior branch heads and their teams to support business development, wealth assurance, branch marketing and adviser development
  • Lead initiatives to develop the firm’s profile and presence
  • Provide induction and support to new advisers and help them become established and operate within the firm’s advice framework
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the Wealth division
About You 
You are an experienced manager who has a strong understanding of markets and the financial advice sector. You have good leadership and communication skills.
In addition, you have
  • Good knowledge of the financial advice sector and regulatory framework
  • Bring technical knowledge in one or more areas to the team, such as advisory, management, markets, systems, strategic thinking
  • AFA qualified
