Investment Banking Internship
Curious about a career in investment banking?
Gain practical work experience alongside some of the best in the industry, with Jarden’s summer Internship Programme. This internship will provide you with world class training and hands-on experience in a rapidly growing investment bank, learning from some of the most experienced bankers in New Zealand.

Programme structure
Our internship programme, based in Auckland, runs for three months (full time), commencing late November 2024. You will kick off with induction and training, before launching into the programme’s work-component.
You will also be buddied-up with a first or second-year analyst to support you through the internship, and an associate or VP to act as your mentor. This structure is designed to provide ample access to support and feedback, and to help you build strong connections with your peers and the Jarden team.

Investment Bank Graduate Programme
Joining as a graduate will position you as an integral part of the team from day one. You will take responsibility and ownership for your work, solve real problems, and contribute meaningfully to the team.
As part of a leading trans-Tasman investment banking team, you’ll contribute to a range of high-calibre, complex corporate advisory projects and transactions across a range of sectors, for both local and international clients.

Programme structure
From day one, you’ll be on a permanent contract, working in a real role with real responsibilities. You will receive continual on-the-job training, coupled with world-class training and development blocks, to ensure you reach your goals, realise your potential, and excel throughout your career. You’ll additionally be provided with support and mentorship opportunities to facilitate ongoing growth and professional development. All positions are Auckland based.

Corporate Services Graduate Programme
Gain a behind-the-scenes perspective across many of the departments that keep New Zealand’s leading investment and advisory firm running smoothly.
Across a two-year rotation programme, you’ll gain unique experience across risk & compliance, regulation, finance, operations, corporate analysis and other project work.
You’ll receive in-depth training, on-the-job mentoring and support from senior business leaders and exposure to many different parts of the business. There will be plenty of opportunities to build relationships across Jarden, and discover the areas that interest you the most. We very much encourage building out your internal network and will support you in doing so.
At the end of the rotation, you’ll then move into a permanent role which could be in our Compliance team, working with our group Finance function, Operations department managing settlements and clearing transactions or even supporting our Chief Commercial Officer. Please note that this program does not involve placements in our Investment Banking or Equity Trading and Research teams.
We will be seeking five talented people to join our Corporate Services Graduate Programme, starting in early 2023 with positions based in Auckland and Wellington.
Criteria:
- We are looking for candidates with strong academic performance, who already have some practical work experience.
- You will have completed or are near completing a tertiary qualification in business, management, accounting or a comparable business discipline.
- NZ work visa is required for non-NZ citizens.
